BAIT – The bait supply went from good to only ok this week. The sardina went from 3-4″ to 1-2″. Very small sardina like the one in the pic above. We are still heading south to get bait in front of the La Ribera Marina.

WATER – The water temps are climbing at a rapid rate. We saw water from 82 – 88 this week and a great deep blue color.

TUNA – The tuna bite has been ok this week. Fish are being caught North, East and South.  The size is all over the board from 15lb to 53lb taken mostly on hoohies, and Yo-Zuri Hydo Magnum lures. The biggest tuna caught in yesterdays 2018 Dorado Shootout went 53lbs at the scales.  There was also a 182lb tuna brought in this week as well that ate a trolled ballyhoo.

DORADO – The dorado bite was a little better than last week.  Fish are still on the smaller size going 5-20lb. There were two nice bulls caught yesterday a 39lb and 49.

ROOSTER – The rooster bite remains strong up and down the beach on slow trolled caballito. Some really nice fish in the 20-40lb range.

BILL FISH – The bill fish bite was good this week as well with many anglers catching as many blue marlin as the stripped marlin.

WAHOO – The wahoo are definitely here. We went 1 for 4 yesterday during the shootout. Captain Carlos is out again today looking in the same zone.
