LOS BARRILES FISHING REPORT 8/6, 2020

Los Barriles Fishing Report - Los Barriles Rooster

Los Barriles fishing report is brought to you by OKUMA FISHING USA. Fishing has been great the past few weeks. Fist, the water is stable and currently we are seeing 82-84 degree water. It’s a little off color inside but nice and blue about 5 miles off the beach.

BAIT

Ballyhoo is available in front of Palmas de Cortez Hotel and the sardinas are available to the North. Pretty much been the same program since the beginning of the season.

ROOSTERS

The roosters have been biting pretty good as of late with some larger models being caught as well. Fishing is good both down South and to the North.

DORADO

Dorado have been biting well the past couple of weeks as well. Bigger bulls are still around and willing to eat. Fish over 30lbs is a real possibility. A 51lb bull was caught last week up North.

MARLIN

The marlin bite continues to be absolutely hot right now. Several fish per boat is common. The fish are close and on the chew. This week we have the East Cape Bisbee’s going on. Yesterday was day one. I’ll head down the the scales a little later today and try and grab some photos.

TUNA

The tuna bite is on fire last week and has not slowed down. Most fish are between 15-25lbs and are chewing the cedar plug and hoochies. Early limits of tuna is not uncommon.

To sum it up, the fishing is really, really good right now. Now is a great time to plan a trip to Los Barriles. Please visit us again for your Los Barriles fishing report.

Lastly, if anyone is in the market for chartering a super cruiser, please take a look at my buddy Matt’s 35′ Cabo. She’s all set up and ready to go. Great crew and gear. Check out the El Regalo
