Fish Report July 22nd – 29th
BAIT – The bait supply was fair to good this week. We are still heading south to get bait in front of the La Ribera Marina. Sardina, ballyhoo, and caballito are all available.
WATER – The water was clear and blue and the temps are in the mid to upper 80’s.
TUNA – The tuna bite was consistent this week. Fish are being caught just about everywhere. The size is all over the board mostly from 10lb to 30lbs. The tuna are being taken on hoochies, trolled high speed vibes from Yo-Zuri, sardina, and cedar plugs.
DORADO – The dorado bite was good again with more fish starting to show up. A little late, but better late than never.
ROOSTER – The rooster bite remains strong up and down the beach on slow trolled caballito. Some larger class fish showing up now in the 20 to 50lb range.
BILL FISH – The bill fish bite also remained strong last week with a good mix of blues to strippers.
WAHOO – The wahoo bite was also good again this week. Anyone wishing to target wahoo has a very good shot of putting one on the boat.
