Bottom fishing in Los Barriles is really good.

Los Barriles fishing is heating up!!

WATER

Fist off, our water temps are right around 74 – 80 and hopefully on the rise. We did have some North winds that knocked the temps back down. But any day now the temps will begin to rise rapidly and Los Barriles fishing is going to be great.

BAIT

The pangueros still have not started to work for sardina’s yet in La Ribera. Currently we have live ballyhoo and mackerel available. We are traveling an hour North to take on bait.

TUNA

The tuna bite is getting better and better. Yesterday there was a 101lb fish caught along with some 30’s and 40’s.

DORADO

The dorado are finally making it here. A few bulls and a some decent size fish are showing up on the banks.

ROOSTERS

Are making a showing now. If we are able to make some sardinas, the numbers will show just how many have moved in.

BILL FISH

The bill fish bite was great earlier this week. They were anywhere from 3 to 6 miles off the beach. The good news is there are marlin to be caught.

WAHOO

No reports of wahoo this week. The water needs to be a little warmer in order for us to see quantities.

YELLOWTAIL

The yellowtail bite is still slow. One one or two fish last week trolling live bait.

SIERRA

Sierra’s are around and we found some willing to bite. They are a decent grade as well.

Lastly, if anyone is in the market for chartering a super cruiser, please take a look at my buddy Matt’s 35′ Cabo. She’s all set up and ready to go. Great crew and gear. Check out the El Regalo
